Objective
To stimulate transnational exchange of data and methods concerning industrial design promotion, in particular through the creation of practical and conceptual tools.
The project includes 4 parts:
1. Examination and analysis of the different promotion methods of industrial design for SMEs, used by each contractor, in order to put into action these promotional methods.
An Harmonised Method for the promotion of Industrial Design has been drafted including compilation of strategies addressed to encourage the implementation of this Technique in border regions of Belgium, France, Germany and Luxembourg
2. Transnational workshops. The 4 themes discussed will be the following:
- design and rapid prototyping
- design and technology transfer
- design and strategy
- global design
The first workshop concerning design and rapid prototyping took place in Nancy together with a seminar. 3. Creation and realisation of a CD-ROM intended to promote and introduce industrial design methods in SMEs.
4. Elaboration of cases studies directed towards industrial production, with a view to organise training workshops and promotional actions.
First case study reported up to date concerns product design by a successful innovative SME.
