Objective
The programme objective is the development of new lipids using the technique of transesterification of methylic esters of rapeseed and of glycerine products.
The program objective was the development of new lipids using the technique of transesterification of methylic esters from rapeseed and of glycerine products. From glycerine, the work has followed 2 themes. These are the synthesis of polyglycerols (hydrophile centres of emulsifiers being able to replace the ethoxylates in nonionic detergents) and the synthesis of halogen derivatives for use in surface applications. From the methylic ester, the research program was based on producing new lipids from reactions involving the olefinic fraction, or the carboxyl group.
The work with glycerine follows two themes:
the synthesis of polyglycerols, hydrophile centres of emulsifiers being able to replace the ethoxylates in nonionic detergents;
the synthesis of halogen derivatives for use as specific surfactants.
From the methylic ester the research programme is based on producing new lipids from reactions involving the olefinic fraction or the carboxyl group. The work with the olefinic chain consists of optimizing the synthesis and developing the applications of the following products:
composite hydrogens as substitutes for oleic acids and stearics;
composite sulphates, sulphones and sulphites for the textile, leather, paper and metal industries;
various acid derivatives for the lubricant, paint and glue industries.
The research themes involving the carboxyl group concern the synthesis and applications of:
various polyols and starch esters in the area of lubricants, detergents and emulsifiers;
wax for the lubricant industries.
