Objective
The main objectives of DAVINCI will be achieved by:
1. Determination and analysis of user needs for efficient integration and coordination of the functionalities of Airport Traffic Management System (APTMS) (various on going projects relate to this topic).
2. Definition and specification of techniques which will support the: a) Description of the system model, and the integration and coordination process.b) Description and analysis of the decision making process.
3. Design and description (using specified techniques) of the proposed method for integration and coordination of the various functions described previously (based on existing and foreseen Automation Airport Traffic Management System (APTMS)).
4. Analysis and description (using specified techniques) of the decision making process and identification of the various options for decision allocation.
5. Specification and design of an open architecture to support the designed integration and coordination method. The architecture should make it possible to model the progressive integration of the various functions (present and future) involved, taking into account the required flexibility to cope with different methods of decision allocation (according to different organizational structures).
6. Demonstration of the feasibility of the proposed method and architecture and evaluation of its adequacy, using a demonstrator which integrates some of the existing systems (real or modeled).
