Objective
The FARADEX study will define the functional architecture of overall ATM systems, to:
=> consolidate existing state of the art materials relevant to functional architecture,
=> form a reference to be used as a basis for advanced ATM systems,
=> provide a common view of the ATM system functional architecture,
=> expand the interface aspect to quantify data volumes,
=> address the problem of interfaces with other systems such as airlines, airports, meteorological and military systems, as well as neighbouring systems outside the ECAC area,
=> address the problem of interoperability at the functional level,
=> serve the EATCHIP / EATMS programme.
=> support operational and technological evolution, in particular those linked to Air/Ground integration.
