Objective
The T project on sequencing the yeast genome has a total budget of 7 MUC from which 0.8 Muc is expected to be used for coordinations and 6.2 MUC for the sequencing work itself. Sequencing will probably to be carried out by 40 different laboratories still to be selected. The University of Louvain (UCL) will coordinate the project and in particular will carry out the following responsibilities:
- assignment of scientific tasks
- subcontracting
- payments to subcontractors
- progress reports
- organization of contractor meetings
- international coordination
The University of Louvain has acquired experience in these matters by carrying out similar coordination responsibility for the pilot programme on Sequencing the Yeast Chromosome III within the Bap programme.
