Communicable diseases, lifestyles and personnel responsibility: eth ics and rights

Objective

The following constitutes a brief summary of our objectives:
identify and evaluate responsibility of the individual for personal and public health
evaluate the threat posed to public health by communicable diseases
evaluate the implications of this threat for three movement within the European Union and for movement between and relations between the European Union and other states
assess the responsibility of the state for public health
identify and evaluate the right of the state to encourage and possibly enforce individual responsibility
assess the contribution of lifestyle to ill health and to health costs
explore the possible causes of conflict between individual rights and public health
suggest measures for the resolution of such conflicts within the European Union
analyse resource implications for citizens of the European Union and for the Member States of the European Union.
