A european network for the analysis of primary immunodeficiencies

Objective

Objectives:

To improve epidemiologic, clinic, immunologic and genetic knowledge on primary immunodeficiency diseases (ID).
To transfer information to the European Medical Community involved in the case of these patients.

Brief Description:$LThis programme brings together the main European centers involved in ID reserach and care. In continuation of a previous concerted action, we will organize research on the following topics:
Establishment of the prevalence of the many ID diseases.
Collation of phenotype and genotypic information on identified ID.
Basic/clinical research collaboration to design new genetic studies of undefined Assessment efficacy and safety of available therapeutics and to design new strategies.
Training researchers and clinicians in the field to expand knowledge on ID diseases throughout Europe.
%
This work will be achieved through the creation and development of diseasespecific registries including mutation analysis connected to a global ID registry and through collaborative projects in genetics as well as on clinical/therapeutic aspects of ID. Large opportunity for training both in biological research and clinical care will be provided. Information to the 400 European specialists of the field will be disseminated through Internet (on line), meetings, Newsletters and publications.

Key words :
Immunology, genetic diseases, primary immunodeficiencies, immunoglobulins, lymphocytes, bone marrow transplantation, phagotic cells.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
