Exploitable results
The concrete production process is improved by using the appropriate mixing technology. Strength and durability can be improved by a good dispersion of the fine cement particles. The computer optimized concrete composition, in accordance with the European codes for different environmental classifications, is obtained by using the PERCON software. The assessment of the concrete durability results from simple test procedures, providing the information for the lifetime calculation of the steel reinforced material. Guidelines provide recommendations for its resistance against alkali silica reaction.
