Exploitable results
The project aimed at the development of a generic computerized visual inspection system, applicable to flat surface inspection and quality assurance using multicriteria grading and expert knowledge processing and compilation. A widely applicable industrial inspection system design methodology which enables fast prototyping and implementation of such a system has been developed.
The system will have a positive direct impact on the quality of the products to be inspected in several industrial sectors, namely steel sheet, wood sheet and linen. Results could be transformed into products within 12 months.
For the 3 industrial applications, the end users have conducted key market investigations.
