DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SM-FE-N PERMANENT MAGNETS

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Exploitable results

Permanent magnet configurations can be designed to give variable uniform magnetic fields, variable field gradients or low frequency alternating fields. Maximum fields available are greater than 1.5 Tesla, with field gradients of greater than 100 T/m. No high current power supply or cooling is needed. The devices, which replace electromagnets in many applications, are controlled manually or by personal computer (PC) controlled stopper servo motors. They are very compact and easy to use.
