Exploitable results
Dyeing and chemical operations used to be the bottleneck in the production process of tanneries, being carried out in drums and paddle wheels, creating a break in continuity of the overall processing chain. The results are enabling a completely integrated production line, leading to increased productivity and shorter production cycles (reduced from three weeks to one week), as well as considerably reduced consumption of chemicals and dyes, and also energy. Three prototype machines have been built and tested: through-feed dyeing machine; through-feed setting out machine; through-feed drying machine.
