Objective The aim of this project is to realise flexible riser pipe in long lengths and meeting the regulations of the food industry. Those hoses are basically designed to be used as self sustained risers, resistant to corrosion, encrustation, ageing and abrasion. These flexibles are particularly interesting when the pumping system requires the submersed pumps to be set up and risen rapidly with limited means. For some applications, particularly for drinking water pumping and for the food industry, the hoses must meet the strict regulations set up in several countries (Germany, Belgium, France, ...). Regarding to those regulations, the main objective of the research is the development of a new compound. These are the 2 basic grounds for the technical and commercial success of this product.
