Aeronautical Computational Fluid Dynamics

Objective

3T have developed many rapid development tools some practical some analytical and other computational. There has been considerable success at 3T in integrating practical assessment of experimental hardware with Computer Aided Engineering Design, Test, Manufacture Methods and Software. Already 3T are marketing advanced computer development programs and associated test equipment. These programs have reduced RTD program lead times, risks and costs. They virtually eliminate the need to use human subjects in any hazardous environmental or performance testing. Although most CFD research has been directed toward the aerospace industry for the design of airframes 3T has identified several needs for CFD in Life Science Safety and Medical Programs. Specifically in the design of safety helmets there is a need to study the effects of airflow, lift and turbulence. These factors have to be analysed against neck and head loads to establish failure modes such as fracture, strain, concussion and black out.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
