Development of technology for the improvement of the use of raw material in the ornamental stone sector

Objective

The large size machinery for preparation of ornamental stone products requires blocks with a minimum size, the results of which is a considerable reduction in in efficiency of extraction in quarries. In consequence, a very large part of the original resource is lost to waste, as, while still being of excellent quality, it does not have the required size The objective of this project is to develop new technology capable of making use of good quality material which is too small in size to be used and at present is dumped.
