New chemistry and horizental continuons processing machinery to provide a flat solderable surface to integrated and surface mount circuits

Objective

Our objectives are to identify, research, develop and produce a commercially viable alternative to presently available technology for providing solderable coating to the pads of printed circuit boards. Current advances in integrated circuits and surface mount technology have reached a stage of sophistication which has highlighted the inadequacies of existing methods of board production. The project encompasses both a new chemistry and the means for applying it, to meet an identified requirement within the European electronics industry.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
