Objective
The project goal is to prototype an automatic system for detection and classification in real time of defects in the textile printing process and to build a demonstrator within a textile factory. In the textile printing industry the detection of detects is carried out in three different stages: first in the act, second when surveyed and finally before the fabrics became a readv-made article. Presently the defects' detection of the printing process is totally handled by human sight. This project will develop a technology adapted to the needs of the textile printing SME. due to the fact that it will help them decrease significantly production costs in small orders, and increase productiveness. A more efficient detection of defects will help SMEs to produce less saste and substandard materials, it will also help to speed up the printing process (in which the inspection of defects is done on-line). These two factors are of particular relevance in small productions. The system must be capable of detecting technical defects and superposition of colors in the textile product using high resolution. The number of colors recognised should be around tventy. The time of response of detection must be high and the resolutio)n must be less then 1mm2.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
