Objective
The Industrial Objective of this RTD programme is to reduce time to market by typically 20% achieved by reducing the need for physical prototying and utilising rapid tooling techniques. The reduction in time to market has the consequential effect of increasing the complexity of the development cycle, in particular condensing the timescales of key decision points. A secondary objective is therefore to Contribute to this shorter, more complex development cycle, by incorporating several serial activities in a more concurrent development cycle. The specific Technical Objective is to develop a Virtual Prototyping System with the intention of providing the methodology to achieve the 20% reduction in time to market.
