Objective



THE PROJECT FORESEES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PROTOTYPE OF GRINDER CAPAbLE OF PERFORMING COMPLEX OPERATIONS IN THE MANUFACTURING OF TOOLS FOR: BORING, REAMING, MILLING, BROACHINg OR THREADING. THE INNOVATION CONSISTS IN THE POSSIBILITY OF THE NEW MACHINE OF OPERATing BY MEANS OF PROGRAMMABLE COMPUTER FOR CONTROLLING THE MOVEMENTS OF THE PIECE - BEARING SPINDLE AND OF THE GRINDERS WITH SHIFTING COMBINABLE ON FIVE AXLES. THE ADVANTAGE LIES IN THE POSSIBILITY OF OBTAINING THE FINISHED piECE BY ONE MACHINE SINCE IT CAN WORK IN FRONT, IN PROFILE AND IN COMBINATION. A SUMMARY ESTIMATE OF THE COSTS INDICATES THAT THE REALISATION OF THE MAcHINE WOULD ALLOW AN INVESTMENT SAVING OF AT LEAST 50% OF THE PRESENT COSTS AND GREATER FLEXIBiLITY, WITH LOWER PROCESSING COSTS, INCLUSIVE OF PROGRAMMinG AND MACHINE SETTING.
