The main RTD goal of this project is to find a solution for ground waterproofing in urban roads, and grounds other than roads. The method that will be developed is the Reservoir structure technology This solution has to be manufactured with the existing production's tools of the concrete industrv in order to be cost effective. Its costs and performances will permit it to be positioned in the increasing Reservoir structure market. Currentlv, Reservoir structure bottom are made of non-bound rough gravels w hich aré not too expensive but have a too low vacuum ratio. Some of them are made of honevcombed structures in plastic materials with a vacuum ratio above 90, but their cost is too expensive to allow a large diffusion on the market. The project described in this document should result in a solution that w ould have a lower cost than the honeycombed structure and with mechanical and durability features compatible with the use in the field of urban roads, in order to be viable.
