Objective
The main goal of this project is to create a new type of miniaturised electrical linear actuator with load control and force limiting devices for integration in optimised reclining armchairs or others, and based on an adaptation and a specific study of well dimensioned mechanism in order to propose the possibility of manufacturing smaller and lighter components and equipments . The study and creation of a prototype of a specific actuator, able to perform economical, safety and ergonomic benefits will be necessary and SME proposers would be interested to contribute to this project and work with RTDs . Considering both economical and technological aspects developing such a prototype with adequate materials and components is too much complicate and risky without the contribution of major RTDs . The here after SMEs are specialised in complementary technologies permitting to develop an ergonomic and efficient prototype to reach this goal and RTDs could help in defining norms and adaptation to norms, in research on materials, components and technologies, in studies and specifications, in integration of mechanical and electrical technologies, in performing tests and calibration, in validation of the research project .

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
