Objective
To ensure that the transport of bottles in the beverage industry remains free of disruptions during the automatic bottling process, aqueous solutions of lubricants are sprayed on the conveyor belts. The solutions reduce the frictional resistance between the bottles and the conveyor belts and contribute, in addition to this, to the cleaning and disinfection of the whole transport system. During the application of world-wide leading technologies in use at the moment various ecological and economical problems have appeared. The project envisages to develop a new technology for the lubrication, cleaning and disinfection of automatic bottle conveyor belts. On the way there, the following RTD goals need to be achieved: - development of an efficient, economically sound and good biodegradable lubricant with satisfactory cleaning effect - selection and testing of an ecologically safe disinfectant - development of an intelligent mixing process for water, lubricant and disinfectant - successful practical test of the process and its components in enterprises of the beverage industry
