Towards a catalytic reactor system for removal of harmful aerial pollutants from livestock production facilities

Objective

Objective of the research is to develop and test a prototype a gas clean up system, including an advanced dust removal device, based upon catalyst reactor for removal of harmful aerial pollutants (eg. ammonia, odours) from exhaust air from livestock buildings. Milestones are* - construction of a catalyst reactor prototype - integration with dust removal device - measurement of energy consumption, emissions reduction - demonstrate performance in situ - develop rules for upscaling - investigate other applications than livestock production
