Innovative designs for improved short staple carding machines

Objective

The project is concerned with developing innovative solutions to reduce flat loading and the removal of short fibres in short staple carding machines, resulting in a significant overall improvement in carding technology. Flat loading will be reduced by new designs of flat wire and flat systems. Short fibre removal will be accomplished by developing innovative designs based on aerodynamic or mechanical separation of short fibres from the longer fibres
