Objective
The objectives of this research relate to developing techniques to feed data obtained under live operating conditions into computer simulation programs for the prediction of vehicle chassis dynamics. The result will be a significant narrowing of the gap that currently exists between theoretical predictions and results actually obtained, thus offering improved performance and safety. The benefits will be that design processes will be quicker and more accurately focused, and that suspension component manufacturers will be able to tailor their products to specific motor industry requirements.
