Objective
The primary need of the European textile industry is to increase reactivity so that foreign countries competition based on low manpower costs, can be encountered. This project aims to reduce both global and local causes of non reactivity and non competitive final product cost by developing practical simulation approaches: to evaluate consequences of the final market demand variations and the different production management policies for the various links in the process. They are dependent upon constraints and characteristics coming from companies at the end of the process. The deliverables will be to develop innovative decision aided and simulation system for the global textile industrial process and to elaborate internal and external partnership procedures to increase the reactivity and decrease the cost of the final products.
