Objective
Manufacturing composite materials with bi- and multiaxial layer fabrics is more efficient and often cheaper than the use of woven fabrics. The aims of the research project are the rationalisation of the multiaxial layer fabric production by the development of an electronic machine control for the reduction of set-up time and the development of a bidirectional production control system for the transfer of all fabric-, process- and machine data to the machine control and the capturing of the machine data, the improvement of the product quality by integrating a database with fabric specific management of the production relevant data, the machine settings and the running characteristics, transfer of job-oriented quality data between the textile semi-manufactures producer and the composite materials producer. The result of the project shall be the running of a pilot-system at a multiaxial layer fabrics producer.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
