Study and development of a new sandwidn plastic multi-injection system with bi-material combination for the automobile industry with the possibility of using recycled plastics in the process

Objective

The objectives of the research is to create new possibilities in the plastic multi-injection process with new sandwich bi-material capacities in the automobile industry - The aim of the research project is to develop moulds and prototypes of this new product and test it for its best economical and technical definition and then, try to specify the necessary machine and equipment for, after the research, manufacture this equipment and process lines to be able to develop a future industrialisation first for the automobile market and then for various other markets (packaging, furniture, handling, aeronautics, trains, construction) - The interest of such a research is to create a new product and process replacing old technologies with the here-after described improvements and benefits and also the important possibility to process car- parts such as dashboards with a new bi-material injection permitting the new possibility of using recycled plastics for the core of the part and regular raw material for the external aspect . - The SME proposers - manufacturers of machine equipments and specialist of heating equipments - would be interested to contribute to this project and work with RTDs dedicated to research on heating processes and automation technologies, on injection distribution principles, in fluid and molecular chain dynamics and in refrigeration technologies and a knowledge and with a practice in prototyping and performing tests

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
