Process control of vacuum injection techniques for large parts

Objective



The application of a closed mould injection technique for large products in small series is hardly practised, although the technology exists! The reason that this technology has not yet become a state-of-the-art production technique is due to the lack of process control. There is a strong need for processing control tools which will ensure a successful vacuum injection. The objective of the project is to develop the processing control tools in order to ensure that each product is made according to the specifications and minimises the risk on product rejections. The research is focused on three aspects of production and process control:
