Objective

THE SCIENTIFIC & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES OF THIS RESEARCH PROPOSAL CONCERN THE INNOVATIVE HOLISTIC APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM IN THE DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING OF TRUCK AND CAR SCRAP TYRES. THE RESEARCH IS REQUIRED TO ASSESS SHEAROGRAPHY TECHNOLOGY TO INCREASE THE RETREADING OF EXTENDIBLE LIFE CASINGS, IMPROVING THE DISMEMBERING AND RECYCLING OF SCRAP CASINGS, DEVELOP BONDING POLYMERS TO PROVIDE AN IMPROVED MEANS OF INJECTION MOULDING RECOVERED RUBBER GRANULATE AND ASSESS THE FEASIBILITY OF USING PRE-CURED RUBBER CRUMB IN THE PRODUCTION OF RUN FLAT AGRICULTURAL TYRES, FOR-WHICH A EUROPEAN PATENT HAS BEEN GRANTED
