Objective
The objectives of the intended research project are to create a new production in Europe for manufacturing K.P.F (Kraft Paper Filters) using a new method process and to develop 2 prototypes: - a modular cutting- stretching equipment (with possible change of cutting tools) - a multi-layer assembly equipment (with possible assembly of different kinds of paper frame ). The 3 SME proposers are specialised in manufacturing spray booths, in manufacturing of ,machine and equipments and in painting applications & supply . The existing KPF products (with already technical limitations in fire-proofing norms and in resistance) are manufactured in the USA and imported in Europe with high transportation costs (x1,8 because of the important ratio volume/weight). The aim of the research project is to develop 2 prototypes of a new machine to generate an efficient and flexible production with added value in fire-proofing, in product resistance (perpendicular cutting) and important European economical (cost), environmental (replacing of water filtrations) and space ((problem of important volumes storage) benefits . The interest of such a research is to: - decrease product costs with a new more flexible and efficient process, - decrease maintenance and storage costs, - give the possibility of just-in-time distribution - improve environmental aspects and suppress water pollution

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
