Objective
The industrial problem to be solved is to produce a descaling and decarbonisation system for continuous metal wires and tubes in place of present processes: chemical and mechanical. The present constraints of the processes are: deterioration of materials, harm to the environment, danger for user personnel and productivity restrictions caused by stops in the manufacturing cycle. The industrial objective is therefore to integrate the system to be developed into the manufacturing process to increase productivity while reducing technological and environmental harm. The research work will qualify the high pressure technology, define the process, analyse its mechanical behaviour and define its technological and environmental performance.
