Objective
Modern design in architecture creates a demand of very organic, transparent and lightweight constructions. Laser beam welding/cutting and water jet cutting are essential tools for realisation of such modern
glas-steel-composite-constructions. The aim of the project is to create a catalogue of innovative architectural solutions with respect to material and production technology. Investigations on mechanical properties and corrosion behaviour of the material joints will be executed. Possibilities of integrated quality assurance and limits of the technologies will be shown. The draft of especially adapted production technologies helps to occupy the european market of glas-steel-constructions with more than 100 MECU annually. International competitiveness of european steel working SME's will be promoted.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
