Objective
Pultrusion opens possibilities for window and door profiles. Up till now, only relatively simple shaped products could be manufactured. Now technical methods are being developed which make it possible to pultrude more complicated profiles. In addition, the static values can match those of aluminium profiles With the axial reinforcement, better results can be expected. The aim of this research is to develop Glassfiber Reinforced Products (GRP) for window and door profiles that reach a K-value of 1-1,2 W/m2°K. Additional research has to prove that these profiles are in agreement with the European regulations concerning environment, safety, noise reduction and aesthetics. The right type of resin has to be developed including the facility of using standard hardware and accessories. Research has to be done in designing and testing the prototypes.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
