Process for biological decomposable self-standing plastic-bags

Objective

There are different possibilities for transport and storage of liquid and powdery materials like colour, cleansing agent, food or medical infusions. For example plastic bottles, metal buckets or plastic bags. Self standing plastic bags are especially suitable for packaging these materials because they are extremely light, have a small waste-volume and of cause they are 'self standing' after filling. Therefore self standing plastic bags are especially suited as refill-package. A transfer to applications in mass like packages couldn't be realised up to now. Our research goals are to develop further biodegradable an biological decomposable plastic materials for use in plastic-bags, to realise a production method and machine technology to produce self standing plastic bags out of the new ecological well tolerated material, to develop technologies to produce plastic bags with an integrated relockable scip-out, existing of the same biological decomposable material as the self standing plastic bag and to realise an integrated system to produce the complete bag in one production-step (foil-production, welding, integrating the scip-out, cutting, quality controlling and filling). The research is to be cooperative, both partners don't have the necessary development-resources or expertise to carry out the research.
