Objective
Aim of the project is the development of a mobile laser machining system for a material-fit connection of cladding-panels out of metallic material. In the scope of this project a mobile laser for the range of facade construction should be designed and developed to manufacture connections between exterior cladding-panel and the underconstruction, which fulfils the facade-specific demands in its entirety. The developed laser system will comprehend a Nd:YAG-solid-state laser and a highly integrated working head, which is connected to the laser with a flexible fiber optical waveguide. In addition will be developed a sensor as control of root penetration, which detects the plasma-beams by the fiber optical waveguide, and other necessary protection devices. The work-head has to meet special requirements on account of the protection of labour and the security of the process. It combines several functions and coordinates them in a narrow space. The developed laser system offers to the SME s in the range of facade building novel possibilities of an efficient connection technique with the preservation of almost uninfluenced surfaces by covered scarf welding. SME s out of the range of laser manufacturing open total new application fields in the european and global market. With the conversion of this innovative and unique technology of joining is connected a strengthening of the european building industry with regard to the international market. In the sector of the design of metallic facades new and free possibilities of design offer to architects as the novel tool welds through cover plates.
