Production of low cost, high efficiency Alkaline fuel cells with silver electrodes using advanced production techniques

Objective

The Zevco technology allows the production of Alkaline Fuel Cells on an industrial scale. The proposed programme aims at both: - increasing the efficiency of the fuel cells, - reducing the cost by replacing Platinum (Pt) with Silver(Ag) as the catalyst in the cathode and by introducing an alternative current collector. Work will include screening/adapting Ag-catalyst materials and current collectors for efficiency and for compatibility with the existing manufacturing technology and optimising manufacturing parameters to achieve a new electrode concept at industrial level.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
