Objective
The aim of the project is to demonstrate the operation and cost effectiveness of an air conditioning system formed by a heat pump coupled with seasonal heat storage. This new air conditioning system will be applied to laboratory buildings in Catania (Sicily). The thermal storage is of 400 m3 used for building of 800 m3. The viability of this solution in a mild mediterranean climate should be very interesting for energy saving.
