Combined multiple renewable energy source system simulator facility

Objective

A broad research with a general objective on development of dynamic computer simulaticn software for the Combined Multiple Renewable Energy Source System (CMRESS) simulator facility is proposed. It is a complement within the second main task of the coordinated by the CONPHOEBUS project No. JOU2-CT92-0245 and will be conducted in the laboratory "simulation Modeling in Industry" (SMI) at the Technical University Sofia (TUS), Bulgaria. SMI is the Coordinator of the EC sponsored TEMPUS JEP 2605-92/2 project which aims creating a Center of excellence in simulation modeling at TUS With a main objective in establishing collaboration with partners form Bulgaria and EC which need assistance in simulation studies. The research conforms to the main objective of the JOU2-CT92-0245 project which is developing models to hardware/software simulator facility of CMRESS. Simulation modeling techniques (SMI) - dynamic and Monte-Carlo, probability theory, applied statistics, experiment design techniques, chaos, computer graphics and computer animation Will be employed. Most advanced simulation software and originally developed one, running initially on IBM PC platforms will be used. Accent is placed on the quality of cooperation activities Which include short and collaborative work visits, joint publications. The results will be jointly exploited in a spirit on mutual interest and in conformity with the intellectual property regulations. Expected achievements are: review of the of existing approaches, implementations and models, based on SMI state-of-the-art simulation software in modeling CMRESS; theoretical
conceptualization of alternatives for simulating CMRESS ; development, verification and validation of CMRESS models and expertise. The proposal is expected to contribute to the objectives of the program with: further development of expertise in using simulation for studies, related to energy systems and in particular in modeling CMRESS; complementing and enriching the original project, by extending the scope of the second task - CMRESS dynamic simulation; to the overall development of the CMRESS simulator facility as a main goal of the original project; to the implementation (partial or full) of the results of the original project in Bulgaria

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
