A high efficiency electrical conversion system with variable reluctance generator for variable speed wind turbines

Objective

OBJECTIVES
THE AIM OF THE SUBMITTED ADDITIONAL PROPOSAL IS To CREATE A METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF ELECTRICAL DEVICES OF WIND POWER STATIONS, FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. TO BE ABLE TO MAKE PRELIMINARY DESIGNS 0F SEVERAL TYPES OF DIRECT DRIVE GENERATORS FOR PURPOSE 0F SELECTING THE PROPER DRIVE TYPE;
2. TO BE ABLE To EVALUATE AND COMPARE DIRECT DRIVE SYSTEMS WHICH HAVE ALREADY BEEN DEVELOPED AND WHICH HAVE DIFFERENT POWER RATINGS, IN PARTICULAR IT WILL ENABLE THE COMPARISON 0F THE 18 KW GENERATOR WHICH IS CURRENTLY DEVELOPED IN THE RUNNING PROJECT WITH OTHER DIRECT DRIVES OF DIFFERENT POWER RATING DEVELOPED IN OTHER PROJECTS.
THE ANALYSIS WILL RESULT IN THE DEVELOPMENT 0F GENERAL SCOPING DESIGN RULES FOR DIFFERENT TYPE OF DIRECT DRIVES FOR THE CALCULATION OF MAJOR MACHINE PARAMETERS LIKE SIZE, WEIGHT, EFFICIENCY AND SO ON, WITH POWER AND RPM AS PARAMETERS.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
