A screening instrument for the detection of psychosocial risk factors in patients admited to general hospital wards

Objective

The proposal is a result of earlier collaboration in the following studies: The Effectiveness of Mental Health Service Delivery in the General Hospital (COMAC-HSR MR4*-340-NL) and The psychiatric Consultation in Lithuanian General Hospital (ERB 3511 pL 92215).
Its impact on the development of an infrastructure for a collaborative scientific effort in the area of mental health service delivery in Lithuania is described in the enclosed proposal for additional funding. The current proposal is systematically building on the developed knowledge: an audit system for Consultation-Liaison (C-L) Mental Health service delivery in the general hospital setting. The proposal will result in the distribution of the collected knowledge from the earlier experience over a series of C-L practices and include a series of crucial risk factors in the C-L audit system. The envisaged effects of the study are:
1. The development of a standardized method of C-L mental health service delivery audit in Lithuania introduced through a multi-centered study, and
2. The integration of the knowledge developed in the BMHI CT 93-1180 in the audit system, which will ensure the validation of future admission risk screening procedures for the general hospital.
Review and probably adjustment of the proposal is required as far as the investment of the Biomedl coordinator concerns.
These aspects have not been reviewed in the perspective of the fact of other additional PECO funding proposals. This will require a large investment of the coordinator with its possible effects of the BMH1 CT 93-1180 grant itself.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
