Objective
The project objective is to develop techniques for the construction of inter-ORB (object request broker) gateways.
Work will include:
the design and practical verification of software technology mechanisms for efficient gateway implementation
identification of a consistent set of primitives to provide generic functionality, necessary for the implementation of various services in open distributed processing
development of a family of tools for framework construction.
The project will use the Orbix and DOME vendor ORBs to demonstrate its results.

INFORMATION DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES AND EXPLOITATION
The results will be disseminated to the academic and standards communities and exploited by the EU partners as part of their commercial operations. Through the project, Eastern European partners will gain access to ORB technology, to exploit in their respective domains.
