Objective
The Robot Subsystem ABB IRB 2400 robot has the following characteristics:
- 6 axes, as the product is treedimensional;
- displacement repeatability not larger than +/- 0.1 mm, so as to ensure the work done as required;
- wrist power of a least 10 kg, in order to handle complex tools without inducing dangerous vibrations.
The characteristics of this kind of robot, the need for a treedimensional programming, thus utilising all the 6 axes of the robot, necessarily implies the programming technique point by point. There are examples of these systems already running in similar applications: polishing and grinding of water taps or door handles: deburring of parts casted in aluminium, cutting and deflashing of molded plastic parts.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
