Objective
MOSAIC-HS aims to establish a common standard development for interoperability between two-way radio systems as well as integrated applications covering everyday locations (home, offices, industrial environments, hospitals, rehabilitation centres) relevant to elderly and disabled users. It will implement and test the 'plug-and-play' approach to residential and communicative bus systems in various work/life situations, using a common technology. The first step is an inventory of user needs, and then the development of modules for the user-friendly control of appliances like home alarms and communication/services, using existing cost-efficient elements. The final objective is a prototype integrated multimedia/multimodal, cost-effective personal controller offering direct access to many domestic, hospital and commercial applications.
