Objective
JEE/EFS, through its initiative "The European Awards for the Spirit of Enterprise" is in a central position to offer to both Venture Capitalists and start-ups a perfect opportunity to join forces. The objectives of the JEE European Fund for Start-ups are to identify the position facing both potential investors and project holders in the eContent sector, to create a network of financial institutions -including private businesses, public and private Venture Capital providers, and to investigate the feasibility of creating a Venture Capital fund destined for eContent companies.
The participation of start-ups companies each year in The European Awards provides JEE/EFS in January with a yearly regenerating and expanding database (maintained on the Web site) that contains business plan models. These plans are then judged by regional, national and European juries which gives a quality label.
The main outcome of the project is a database in that both VCc and Start-ups should have access as soon as possible in order to facilitate and speed-up the creation process. The conclusions of these researches will be compiled in a final report, which will be made publicly available, and presented in a European public event: "The European Awards".
