Objective
Offering the advantages of an individual heating system (i.e. individual costs and possibility of individual choice of temperature in rooms) to the occupants of a centrally heated multifamily building, as well as improving the management (i.e. reaction to alarms, individual contacts - messages to occupants, lower running costs,...). The project is demonstrated in or multifamily building with 301 appartments in ROISSY-EN-BRIE (France). The DOMOBUS equipment is installed simultaneously with a refitting of the building. The energy savings to DOMOBUS are expected to be 14 % of the energy consumptions of the refitted building.
The monitoring over the period 01.01 to 05.31.89 shows a saving of 10,2 % to be compared with the 14 % expected value.
The project consists mainly of a local central panel in each apartment, a central unit and a communication network.
The local control panel collects the local information, controls the local heating by selecting programmed levels of temperature, visualizes the individual messages from the manager to the occupants and visualizes the parameters of the program.
The communication network (VIDEOTEXTE or MINITEL) assists the manager by visualizing in real time comsumptions in all apartments as well as room temperatures by programming and adapting parameters and by telecontrolling of the central boiler plant.
The central unit manages the system
As a central unit can only handle 235 apartments 2 units are installed, dealing with 195 and 106 apartments, resp.
A detailed analysis in 32 apparments is proposed.
The project includes 3 phases
- phase 1 : design - sensibilisation of occupants
- phase 2 : implementation - training of occupants
- phase 3 : monitoring and energetic and social follow-up.
