FABRICATION OF DIAMONIC PHOSPHATE (DAP) IN POWDER FORM

Objective

Aim is to strongly reduce the energy consumption in the industrial syntesis reaction between phosphoric acid and ammonia, to produce DAP.
Investment consistsof a tubular reactor and associated hardware, where the reaction take place in a single step syntesis, (100000 T/Y).
Innovative aspect concerns the single step syntesis, performed with the utilization of a "pipe reactor".
Difficulties were found in the physical quality of the product.
The principal process equipment included are ammonia superheather, pipe reactor, spray tower, gas scruber and handling facilities.
