GASOIL RECOVERY FROM SPENT LUBRICATING OIL

Objective

To demonstrate that an economic energy saving of about 45000 toe/y can be achieved in a new type of spent lubricating oil recovery plant producing heavy gasoil from spent oil.

A new three stage distillation plant is proposed, consisting of water chlorinated hydrocarbons and organic acid stripper: milkd vacuum distillation and high vacuum separator applicable to all type of spent lubricating oils. Innovative aspects : this is an innovative alternative way to existing ways; that is burning (environm. problems) or reprocessing to produce doubtful qualities of lubricating oil (only applicable in particular cases).
