Objective

ANALYSIS OF THERMO-CHEMICAL CONVERSION ACTIVITIES IN EUROPE. VISITING DIFFERENT EC CONTRACTORS, ABOUT 20 DIFFERENT SITES, EVALUATING THE RESULTS AND REPORTING THE EVALUATION TO THE CEC AUTHORITIES.

THIS PROJECT PROVIDES THE BIOMASS CONVERSION RESEARCH PROGRAM MANAGERS AT THE COMMISION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES WITH AN ASSESSMENT OF THE PROGRESS OF EACH CONTRACT IN THE THERMOCHEMICAL BIOMASS CONVERSION AREA, AND OF THE POTENTIAL FOR THE TECHNOLOGY UNDER INVESTIGATION. EACH PROJECT IS VISITED AT LEAST ONCE DURING THE LIFE OF THAT CONTRACT, AND THE ACHIEVEMENTS, PROGRESS, AND FUTURE PROGRAM REVIEWED AND REPORTED. THIS ALSO PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW EACH PROJECT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE ENTIRE RESEARCH PROGRAM AND PROVIDE CONSTRUCTIVE ASSISTANCE TO THE PROJECT MANAGER AND HIS TEAM. THIS ENSURES THAT EACH PROJECT MAKES THE MOST USEFUL CONTRIBUTION, AND ALSO ENSURES THAT INTERACTION OR COLLABORATION POSSIBILITIES ARE TAKEN FULL ADVANTAGE OF.
