SOLID STATE BATTERIES.

Objective

IMPROVEMENT IN SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE OF ION TRANSPORT IN POLYMERS,INTERCALATION ELECTRODE MATERIALS,AND MECHANISM OF INTERCALATION.
DEVELOPMENT OF A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY SYSTEM WITH VERY ATTRACTIVE FEATURES:

-HIGH ENERGY DENSITY
-HIGH POWER DENSITY
-SEALED AND SAFE
A new all solid state lithium polymer rechargeable battery has been developed. There are several advantages of using a solid electrolyte: high energy storage, high power, safety, design freedom, no leakage, continuous manufacturing, longer shelf life, high voltage and high operating temperatures. The battery's performance in relation to nickel cadmium and alkaline batteries is outstanding.
DEVELOPMENT OF AN ALL SOLID STATE SECONDARY BATTERY WITH POLYMER ELECTROLYTE, LITHIUM NEGATIVE ELECTRODE AND LITHIUM INSERTION POSITIVE ELECTRODE.
DEVELOPMENT OF MATERIALS FOR IMPROVEMENT OF LOW TEMPERATURE CYCLING.
DEVELOPMENT OF CONSTRUCTIONAL PRINCIPLES AND THERMAL CONTROL.
DEVELOPMENT OF LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING ROUTES AND EXPLORATION OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMERCIAL APPLICATION.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
