Objective
TO STUDY CORROSION AND SCALING AS WELL AS PROBLEMS OF INJECTION INTO A PLASTIC RESERVOIR. THE SITE OF MELLERAY WILL BE USED AS A NATURAL LABORATORY.
A MOBILE LABORATORY WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE SITE OF MELLERAY. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR CORROSION EXPERIMENTS, FILTERING IN DIFFERENT STAGES, AND BACTERIOLOGICAL TESTS. ALSO PERCOLATION EXPERIMENTS ARE FORESEEN IN WHICH FORMATION WATER IS FORCED AT VARIOUS VELOCITIES THROUGH CORES. THIS WILL SHOW WHETHER THE FORMATION WATERS WILL PLUG THE FORMATION. IN A SECOND PHASE A WATER TREATMENT UNIT WILL BE INSTALLED. THE CAPACITY OF THIS UNIT WILL BE 100 1/H.
